Medium Voltage (MV) Switchgear System
Information
Modular and Adaptable Solutions for Telecontrol of All MV Networks
The Monitoring & Control cabinet range offered by Ensto is designed to provide both remote and local monitoring and control of medium-voltage (MV) breaking devices.
When combined with MV/LV transformer substations or remote-controlled overhead switches, these cabinets deliver fully tailored telecontrol solutions for both underground and overhead cable networks, according to each customer’s specific requirements.
Main Functions
Switchgear operation in both local and remote modes
SCADA communication using IEC or DNP protocols
Voltage and current measurement
Detection and measurement of fault currents occurring on the grid or on specific equipment
Amperometric fault detection
Directional fault detection in compliance with HN 45 S 51
Possibility to integrate any other detection standard
Logging of instantaneous and averaged electrical measurements
Automation Functions
Opening on voltage dip (ADA function)
Source transfer (PASA function) for managing at least two underground networks
Timestamping and reporting of events affecting the grid or the cabinet
Operation
Telecontrol Mode
The Monitoring & Control range includes all transmission capabilities required for communication with the SCADA telecontrol system, including:
