RCCB (Residual Current Circuit Breaker) – An RCCB (Residual Current Circuit Breaker) is a low voltage protective device designed to automatically disconnect the electrical circuit when it detects leakage current (earth fault current) exceeding a predetermined value, thereby protecting against electric shock and fire hazards.
Technical Explanation :- The RCCB continuously compares the current flowing through the phase and neutral conductors.
If there is any imbalance (due to leakage to earth), it trips the circuit immediately.
