Partial Discharge Monitoring Device Based on Coupled Pulse Current from Capacitive Voltage Indicator Phase Test Point

Information

To address the issues of low sensitivity, complex installation, and high analysis difficulty in traditional partial discharge (PD) detection methods (ultrasonic, transient earth voltage, ultra-high frequency, high-frequency current, etc.) caused by the miniaturization and fully enclosed development of gas-insulated ring main units and compact switchgear, this product develops a coupled pulse current PD monitoring device based on the phase test point of the capacitive voltage indicator. The device uses the existing capacitive voltage divider in the switchgear’s voltage indicator as a sensor, coupling the pulse current signals generated by partial discharge through the phase test point, enabling online monitoring without power outage or intrusion. The product is available in two forms: online monitoring device and portable handheld detector. It is suitable for distributed scenarios such as outdoor ring main units and community switching stations in distribution networks, supports scheduled data upload, centralized cloud platform management, and early warning. It can also be flexibly configured with high-precision multi-parameter fusion sensors for switchgear without phase test points.
